My Top 5 Boredom Busting Things To Do!

So unfortunately a few weeks back I slipped and fell down the stairs -new carpets combined with slippy socks and being in a rush do not mix well :( - and broke a bone in my foot. I have since been hobbling around on crutches and have to wait until the 23rd of this month to see how its doing (please, please, please be healed in time for Christmas!).

The long and short of it means that I have been stupidly bored, the first few days i felt grateful for the rest, but two weeks in and i'm going insane- especially as I can't drive and get out of the house without help!

so below I have composed a list of the top 5 things that I have been doing to keep me from going stir crazy!

1. Read: If you're anything like me you have a ton of books waiting to be read or finished. I have a bad habit of reading several books at the same time and then forgetting to finish one, because i'm too wrapped up in another ones. Now is the perfect time to start/finish those books! I have not long finished reading the Friends with benefits books by Luke Young and the Fractured series by Elle Charles, both of these series have the First books free on iBooks. In my remaining time off I want to reread two of my favorite books also- Gypsy Boy by Mikey Walsh (If you haven't read this you're missing out... it had me laughing and crying and it is quite possibly my favorite book ever!) and also Dan Brown's Angels and Demons, which I enjoyed so much the first time round i read solidly for two days!

2. Movie/Netflix Binge: Now is THE time to re watch all of your favorite movies, dig out the old DVD collection or start a Netflix binge of a new series you've been meaning to watch. What can be better than having free reign without having to compromise with your partner/friends over what you watch?

The movies I constantly re watch include: The Boat that Rocked, Snatch, Gladiator and dirty Dancing.
I hope to re watch The this is England series too while I'm off!

3. Pin your heart out!: Pinterest is currently the app that is draining my phones battery, I find myself spending hours on it pinning pins to my boards! It is verging on obsession if i'm being brutally honest. But I have picked up so many life hacks and tips, designed my dream wedding and have tons of makeup/hair tutorials lined up to try out. If you haven't got Pinterest I would highly recommend giving it a try, take a look at mine @summmerlouise

4. Get Crafty: Unfortunately I am not naturally gifted when it comes to arts and crafts, however my time spend on Pinterest recently has inspired me to try out new things and get in touch with my creative side. I have learned how to give my clothes new leases of life by following the tutorials on there, most of which are quick and easy to follow. I have also been colouring a lot recently... the 'colouring for adult books' I find relax me and give me time to zone out and focus on something other than worries and stress.

5. Check out blogs: I really enjoy discovering new blogs and visiting my favorite blogs, both for inspiration and fun. I always find it interesting to go back to the beginning of my favorite blogs and start reading the posts from there, often I will come across a blog I love that has hundreds of post and usually I don't have the time to read them all. You can pick up new ideas and learn a thing or two along the way.

I hope you enjoyed this post and it has given you some useful ideas as to what to do if you find yourself stuck at home for long periods of time with nothing to do.

Also have you got any boredom busting activities you'd like to share (I will be greatfull for them!)?

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick By Kate Moss (and a quick hello)

First things first - Thank you taking the time to check out my blog, I hope you enjoy my posts!

Here you will find Product reviews and recommendations, Life posts and the odd miscellaneous post on anything and everything.

So without further ado....

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick By Kate Moss

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Rimmel as a brand, they offer make up to suit everyone's taste at a fantastic price.
Recently I can't get enough of Their Lasting Finish Lipsticks in Collaboration with Kate Moss.
The lipsticks themselves are available in many different shades from chic neutrals to vibrant reds so there's plenty for you to choose from.

They glide on like a dream, I found they have true staying power and I only need to reapply every 4 hours or so (This is good for me!). These lipsticks have a subtle yet really, really nice smell that isn't overbearing at all and i found that they didn't dry out my lips, like many budget lipsticks do . The packaging is fairly plain but the pink 'Kate' Signature adds a touch of cuteness. Priced at £5.49 from boots they are a must have budget friendly buy.

So far I have purchased three from the collection  (but I intend to buy more on my next visit to Boots)

#16- This colour is a lovely Coral shade, my favorite shades to wear are coral as they suit my skin tone really well all year round. I have been wearing this as an everyday lipstick as its not too over the top.
#22-  This colour is a fabulous vibrant red, with no shimmer or shine, but its not matte either. It has real staying power and is highly pigmented- something you don't always find with budget lipsticks and other budget makeup for that matter. I have been wearing it more recently as i have been slacking on the tan front and blue undertones really compliment my paler skin.

#34- This colour is a is a light peachy-coral shade which  I will look amazing with a tan, unfortunately at the minute i do not have one, so i found this shade made me look slightly washed out. It is the lightest colour in the range, I have worn this few times and it has good staying power but I think I need to wear it with a tan to give an honest opinion.

I really look forward to purchasing more from the range, I will be sure to include a post when i do.

Do you have any budget friendly lipsticks you'd recommend? let me know!
